Laptop

Warning. This post exhibits how spoiled I am.
A few days ago, my uncle and I were searching for laptops in the Sunday paper and Internet for ourselves. I really REALLY wanted one because the computer we have now is really slow and I just want my own computer (since I share it with my mom and dad). My uncle wanted one for his work in India. We saw this really nice one at Fry Electronics for only about $400. I asked my dad if I could buy it if I could pay for half of it (since I started saving for a laptop). My dad said absolutely not. He said that I didn’t need a laptop at the moment. (the next paragraph is just details at the store and stuff; you can skip)
I told him that I would sell my PS2, all my games (since I don’t play them anymore), and even my TV, but he still said no. I was fuming. We went to Fry’s anyways because my aunt needed a CD player, and my uncle still was looking for laptops. Unfortunately, the laptop with the special sale price was sold out (that shows how much of a nice price it was!), but there were other really cool Sony/Fujitsu ones on sale. My mom and I fell in love with the Fujitsu and she actually said that it would be nice if I bought that. I asked my dad a few more times if I could buy one, and I made a mistake there…
He got so mad at me, and then I the same at him. We were going to bring my aunt and uncle (who ended up not buying anything) to downtown Chicago next, and I just sat in the car not saying anything and with my iPod at full volume. I kept saying to myself that I’m going to buy a laptop with my own money, no matter what. During my thinking, I realized that I really shouldn’t get a laptop right now… I mean, my dad said he would get me any one that I wanted when I turn 18, and if I get one now, it’ll get outdated by the time I enter college. So I stopped being a brat and had some fun in Chicago.
I still want a laptop real bad, but I can wait… Wow, I sound like such a spoiled brat :P Anyways… QUESTIONS FOR YOU ALL:
How many of you have a laptop and/or personal computer?
If you use Windows Vista, what do you think of it?
Do you think I need a laptop at the moment?
Oh yeah, I got a really really short haircut, but at least my hair is evenly cut now. I’ll let it grow pretty long before I cut it again =)

Chihiro Onitsuka’s Everyhome
Posted by Akash under Music on July 14th,2007. 1 Comment.
Chihiro Onitsuka is a Japanese musician that returned from her hiatus this year with a stunning song entitled “Everyhome.” When I found it on Youtube, I instantly fell in love with it. This song is a bit different to others. It is simple, sweet, and doesn’t use fancy voice editing. It is her voice only, and not her voice plus computers trying to make it sound better.
This album was released on the fifth of June, but I think the PV was released much earlier. For a couple of days, it was on the most viewed Japanese music videos page on Youtube (which is how I found the video). On Youtube, you can watch the original PV and a live performance at AP BANG!.
Enjoy the song =) I started to transcribe the piano and vocals for this song, but I’m asking my friend who is visiting Japan to find sheet music for it. If anyone can find sheet music for this song, let me know, please!
Welcome!

Hey, welcome to the new Fallen Eminence, which is now a blog and portfolio, for me, Akash. Previously, this site was a graphic design website, but I recently closed it. Here is the message if you did not see it:
Dear Affiliates and Visitors, I apologize for being dead and promising that I would start working on FE when I didn’t. I honestly don’t have the time to keep up with two graphic sites and life, so I guess this is good-bye. Affiliates, you have been absolutely wonderful and I hope that we can still be friends. I’m turning this location into a blog/portfolio and if you have one, then send me a link and we can be blogroll buddies :P. Again, I apologize.
Yep… so this is my blog. You can subscribe to it by click here. This is Really Simple Syndication”>RSS and it is a simple way to subscribe to one’s blog. Many blogs use this, such as Livejournal, Wordpress, and Blogspot. I wrote this blog code (from a tutorial at Day Dream Graphics) instead of using a script, so I had to write the RSS thing myself. I encountered many problems, when a lot of sites said that it was so simple to do. I guess I’m a little rusty =/
To the left (and all around you, of course) is the new layout. I originally made it for the design site, but I was lazy and just edited it a bit for the blog. I hope you enjoy it. I’m pleased with it, except the header came out too small…
On to my life: My aunt and uncle are visiting from India. They’re here for three weeks, though two of them are over. It’s a really fun time and my aunt and I laugh so much. I don’t want them to go back; it’ll be so lonely here >.<. When they leave on Tuesday of next week, I’ll have nothing to do. *dies* But then my other aunt is coming very shortly after for our family friend’s daughter’s wedding. It’s a Punjabi wedding, so it has to be fun. My cousin is getting married in August, and so is my other cousin in November (in D.C.). This year is definitely going to be busy, especially with school. I’m really excited for school, though. I have no idea why?
