BAK 2 SKOOL!

Posted by Akash under School on September 3rd,2007. No Comments.

Yeah, I started school exactly a week ago, and since then, I have been pretty busy. I basically was on the computer for two seconds on Tuesday. I had a few hours free on Wednesday, but I was so tired (at 8.00 PM), that I just went to bed. This is all because of homework and after-school activities. Well, here’s the breakdown of my schedule (I guess you don’t have to read the details if you don’t want to):

  1. Health – So on the first day, I walked in and saw one of my friends sitting there. I didn’t except to see anyone I knew, so I was overjoyed. She wasn’t THERE the next day because her stupid schedule got changed. Health was pretty much boring. We did a few fun activities, like trying to to fit six people in a small rectangle. The teacher is probably one of the nicest teachers I’ve had, though. I’m sure it won’t be as boring as it was the first week.
  2. Honors Algebra II/Trigonometry - We dove right in to Chapter One and Two during the first few days, and we have a big test on all that material on Wednesday. My teacher, well, he’s the typical math teacher. He explains things really well, and he’s funny. I also have a few friends in this class, so that’s good. I’m glad I did that summer homework for this class, though, or I would’ve been so confused!
  3. Homeroom - Yeah, nothing much to say here.
  4. Honors Chemistry – I excepted this class to be like HAIIT (Honors Algebra II/Trig), like diving right in and being all hard and stuff, but it’s been pretty easy. It’s just moving at a slower pace than I thought. My teacher is cool… typical science teacher, though he’s also a football coach. He makes a lot of weird analogies. For instance, if this class was a rock concert, he is the rock star, and we (the class) are his audience.
  5. Lunch – Lunch is fun! I have it with my best friend (who also shares a locker with me). He has a lot of upperclassmen friends because he is involved in theatre, so I sit with them as well. They are so funny! I, though, sit quietly and just listen, because I still have to get used to how they do… stuff. Yeah, it’s weird. I’m really shy when it comes to new and/or older people.
  6. Varsity Choir – My teacher is really nice. He also directs the vocal jazz ensemble I’m in. We haven’t done much this week, except voice hearings (to determine our voice part). While one person went into the private room to their voice hearing, everyone else has to listen to this big CD and write about each song.
  7. Spanish II – I only have one friend in this class, but she sits at the other end of the room, and we can’t really move around… It’s kind of boring. My teacher, Señor Dolan, is a very good teacher, though he kind of gets off track a lot. Well, come to think of it, it’s not really off track. He just likes to tell us stories of how Spanish has helped him in his many careers.
  8. American History & English II Block - also known as “American Society Block.” This is a two period class that is a combination of the regular English II and American History. We have two teachers; one that teaches the History portion, and one that teaches the English portion, though they often teach together. These two teachers are my favorite ones this year, and it’s a great way to end the day. Also, two of my very best friends are in this class, so that’s even more fun. I love this class!
  9. See #8

Well, that’s that. Sorry to bore you all with my schedule… I have a four day weekend though. Today is Labor Day (in USA), and tomorrow is some teacher work day or something. I have a lot of homework, as usual, and I’ve barely finished any. Also, don’t except blog updates during the week…
